Mobile virtual network operator’s online store
Objective:
Define and design an online channel for the sales and account management for customers of Simyo, aKPN MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) in Spain.
Tasks:
- Definition of a site in accordance with the company's value proposition (easy, simple) with few sections and clear and direct content.
- User tests to validate understanding of what's being offered, signing up, and purchasing processes.
- Define clear content strategy and a customer area that is visual and intuitive.
- Use AJAX and Flash in the front-end programming in order to present clean and attractive invoices.
Results:
The site is key in the operator's strategy, and it's here that 80% of their new customers sign up.
Simyo was voted best e-billing service in telecommunications in Spain by users in a study by Brain Trust. In 2009 Simyo.es was chosen as one of the top 20 Spanish websites of the last 20 years and won the award for "Website of the Year 2009".
